John Watson, The Gothic Carpenter John Watson of North Reading, has a passion for historic buildings and their care. He worked for 10 years for the National Park Service in Cambridge and Concord honing his restoration and finish carpentry skill and has lent his talents to projects at the Longfellow House in Cambridge, the Crane Estate in Ipswich for the Trustees of Reservation, the North Andover Historical Society and the Codman House in Lincoln. He also works for historic home owners like Eleanor Ethridge, Natalie Andrews and Frederick Taft - the family that owns the historic 1812 David Gray Farm in Andover. Watson has carefully maintained the David Gray Farm house and surrounding outbuildings and landscape, as well as reconstructed the original 17th century Henry Jenkins Gray Blacksmith Shop and Emily Walton Taft Weaving House on the property.
