A drift map of a proposed power plant on the Billerica/Tewksbury town line shows how emissions (particulate matter) would waft from the plant over Tewksbury and into Andover, which is at the upper right of the map. If built, the plant would be a natural gas-burning 348 megawatt power facility, set to run only during times of peak energy use. Environmental Health and Engineering, a Needham-based health firm retained by the town of Billerica (but paid for by the power plant's developer) to evaluate the health impacts of the proposed Billerica Power Plant, recently presented the map during a presentation to the Tewksbury Board of Health.
