live classical music, Fall Music Series at the Lawrence Public Library offers renowned musicians Christopher Walter and Mana Tokuno performing piano duets. The program will include music by European composers Robert Schumann, Franz Schubert, Maurice Ravel and Antonin Dvorak, 2 p.m., free. Christopher Walter has taught at Phillips Academy since 1977. He is the director of performance, teaching in the classroom, instructing students in piano and chamber music, and directing both the Phillips Academy Chorus and the small a cappella group Fidelio. Mana Tokuno is known for her ability to bring a vast array of styles to life and for her sensitive and insightful interpretations. She has performed at New York's Carnegie and CAMI halls as well as Symphony Hall and Jordan Hall in Boston. FAMILY HIKE, Middleton to Boxford by Indian and English Trails, 1 to 4 p.m. The forested lands of Middleton and Boxford contain remnants of pathways and trails created by Indians and the early English. Some followed streams and pond; others went around high rough ledges and hills; all through diverse habitats. Bring your family, young and old, with camera for this approximately three hour exploration. Wear seasonal clothing; and footwear suitable for occasional wet areas, meeting time is 12:55 p.m. at the Peabody Street Canoe Launch site. The site is approximately half-mile east of Peabody Street's intersection with Liberty Street, or quarter-mile west of the intersection with East Street. From Middleton square go east on Route 62 about 0.7 mile, turning left onto Liberty Street. Follow Liberty Street northward about a mile turning right onto Peabody Street. HARVEST MOON FESTIVAl, a celebration of Chinese and Korean cultures, a time of thanksgiving, and the Chinese Moon Festival.
