A downtown boutique was transformed into a fitness studio on Sunday as dresscode in Elm Square put a new line of activewear to the test.
The launch for the Vimmia workout line coincided with the release of a new wellness book published by dresscode owner Amy Finegold.
The book includes tips and recipes from area trainers and health experts. Proceeds from sales of the book, which retails for $20, benefit Family Services of the Merrimack Valley, an organization that Finegold believes tries to help families find their health and balance through its programs.
On Sunday, there was plenty of health and balance taking place at dresscode. More than a half-dozen trainers representing such studios and fitness centers as Shaperella, Fitness Together, Barre N9ne, Yang’s, Elite Fitness and Latitude Sports Club led free, demonstrations highlighting a variety of exercise techniques and programs.
Finegold said the event dovetailed with her philosophy around her store, which she stressed has always been about giving back and supporting her community.
