Violinist returns to perform for MV Philharmonic concert

The Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra features native artist Joshua Peckins, originally from Boxford, who has returned after living several years in Vienna, in a concert on Sunday, March 16, at 2:30 p.m. at the Rogers Center for the Arts at Merrimack College, 315 Turnpike St.. North Andover.

Peckins will be performing the Brahms Violin Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D Major, Op. 77. This season, Peckins will also be presenting solo recitals in Boston and on the North Shore. He was selected as the inaugural “Emerging Artist” for the professional mentorship program at Music at Eden’s Edge.

The well-known Dvorak Symphony 9 in E Minor, Op.95 (From the New World) will also be included in this orchestral performance, under the direction of George Monseur.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, $5 for children ages 4 to 12, and will be sold at the door. Visit or for reservations or information.
