YOUTH ADVOCATE AUTHOR TALK, youth advocate and best-selling author Wes Moore, 8 p.m. in the Cochran Chapel, located on Chapel Avenue on the campus of Phillips Academy, free and open to the public. An Army officer, Rhodes Scholar, White House fellow, best-selling author, youth advocate, and business leader, Moore is an American success story and a born leader—but he wasn’t always on the path to achievement. Raised in a single-parent household in Baltimore, Moore was drawn toward trouble as a child, enough so that his mother eventually enrolled him in a Pennsylvania military school. This single, determined choice effectively changed the course of her son’s life.

LIVE THEATER, “The Beaux’ Stratagem,” a 300-year-old comedy first adapted in 1939, will be presented by the Northern Essex Community College Top Notch Players on April 5, 6, 12 and 13, at 7:30 p.m., April 11 at 4 p.m., April 14 at 3 p.m., in the Chet Hawrylciw Theater on the third floor of the Spurk Building on the Haverhill campus, 100 Eliott St.
