Elizabeth Harris of Andover is one of the artists featured in “Massachusetts Arts 2013: Showcase of Contemporary Art” at the Brush Art Gallery & Studios in Lowell.
“This body of work uses a variety of hybrid styles, mediums and materials to explore conceptual, political and psychological ideas. The result is the intriguing blurring of boundaries between photography and painting, fiber and sculpture, natural and man-made, traditional and technological,” reports the Brush Art Gallery.
This is the fifth biennial Massachusetts Artists exhibition showcasing top artists from all over the Commonwealth.
The show runs through April 13 at the Brush Art Gallery, 256 Market St. in Lowell. The juror for the competition is Dina Deitsch, curator of contemporary art at the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln. The Best in Show award winner will receive a solo show in 2014.
