‘Favorite Places’ in view at Memorial Hall Library

Danvers artist and teacher Karen Nastuk shares her “Favorite Places” as the featured artist for May at Memorial Hall Library, 2 North Main St., Andover.

Nastuk says she has loved becoming an artist in the historically rooted, scenic North Shore. But she is most passionate about teaching her drawing tricks and shortcuts in art classes at area senior centers as well as outdoors.

She studied fine arts and commercial art/writing at Parsons The New School for Design and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Her wedding flower portraits and locational watercolors are on display at the North Shore Arts Association in Gloucester and online at

The second-floor display case this month features blown glass creations by the student interns in Andover craftsman Sandy Dukeshire’s studio, appropriately called Sandy’s Glass Shack. Visit for more.

Both exhibits run through May 31 and may be viewed during regular library hours. Call 978-623-8401 or visit
