Play Time for Teddy & Me

It was a picture-perfect day for a picnic last Thursday in The Park at Chestnut and Bartlet streets. And youngsters brought along their favorite stuffed animals to enjoy the fun.

The annual Teddy Bear Picnic hosted by the Andover Department of Community Services featured arts and crafts, games, a contest for best-dressed bear and a teddy bear parade. Face painting and a scavenger hunt rounded out the day.

DCS’ summer preschool events at the The Park wrap up this Thursday, Aug. 8, with Luau Day featuring the limbo, Hawaiian dancing, field games, arts and crafts and more. The festivities for ages 1 to 6 go from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Admission per child is $5 in advance, $7 at The Park.
