Forty years of art by Andover artist Signe Kaleel is being sold this December at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell.¬
An accumulation of her work will be available for sale at the Western Avenue Studios the first two weekends of December where she has had a studio for three years.¬ Kaleel has been a resident of Andover for 31 years and is relocating to California at the end of the year, according to the studio.¬
She has been a part of the Andover community doing Crafts in the Park for 10 years. She was a Girl Scout Leader from 1988 to 1992.¬ She taught special projects at Sanborn Elementary School from 1987-1992 and through the Andover Department of Community Services from 1977 to 1980, according to the releasee.
Kaleel is a fiber artist with a knowledge of techniques such as batiks, felting, applique, and mono prints. She has been a member of the Merrimack Valley Quilters for 18 years and Hanna Dustin in New Hampshire for six years.¬ Kaleel has taught quilting at the Pine Tree in Salem, N.H. and the Silver Thimble in Hampton Falls and many other places.¬
