Local author's book part of food-drive effort
A recently developed Facebook group, First Time Authors Only Book Club, is sponsoring a food bank drive across the country through Dec. 31, and an Andover author is helping the cause.
The club is a different venue for new authors to get notice for their books. It includes not only new authors, but avid readers. Each month they select a book from the list of authors and have a discussion-and-review event, followed by a final review from each of the participants to assist other readers in selecting books they might enjoy in the future.
Carol Gordon Ekster, a 35-year resident of Andover and author of the children's book "Where Am I Sleeping Tonight?-A Story of Divorce" is the participating author in the Boston area, according to a release. She will donate a percentage of every book sold to the Greater Boston Food Bank Food Bank. To purchase a copy of her book and support the program, go to www.carolgordonekster.com or www.bouldenpublishing.com, or visit the Andover Book Store.
If you prefer another genre of literature or would like to see other books in the program, go to the program administrator's web page at www.c-a-morgan.com and click on the products link on the left hand side of the home page.
