'Wild' Child: Fashion show now a teenager itself

Young Andover designers had the chance to see their clothing designs hit the catwalk as Andover Youth Services hosted the 13th annual Keep It Wild fashion show.

The threme for the year was Carnival, and people were encourages to break out their feathers and Mardi Gras masks for the fun evening at Old Town Hall.

Elementary school, middle school and high school students designed, cut, sewed, glued and mended their own clothing collections for the evening.

"The show brings together many different young people and creates an overall community that encourages creativity, exploration and fun. The show creates the opportunity for kids to try something new and have the guts to be individuals together. And that's really what it's all about! Isn't it?" wrote organizers on the AYS website.

Prior to the models hitting the runway, Andover youth had a change to get their face painted or have feathers put in their hair.
