Spotlight on budding fashionistas
Young fashionistas are readying to take to the streets with their creations for a fair and fashion show on Saturday, June 8, in downtown Andover.
Two local shops — dresscode and SoleAmour — are hosting the celebration of mothers and daughters from noon to 4 p.m. in the area of 2 Elm Square and along Post Office Avenue, which will be closed down to give the event more of a fair feel.
From noon to 3 p.m., a Kids Boutique will be set up outside dresscode at Elm Square to allow the area’s youngest fashion entrepreneurs to sell their own designs and creations.
At 2 p.m., a Fashion Show featuring Ella Moss and Splendid swimwear as well as shoes by Yosi Samra, Aspiga and more for moms and kids will take to the outdoor runway.
There will be popcorn, a lemonade stand, cotton candy and face painting to round out the fun. Plus, people can get their Yosi Samra ballet flats hand-decorated at SoleAmour on Post Office Avenue.
A percentage of all sales from the event will benefit Andover Youth Services. For more, call dresscode at 978-470-0300.
