A healthy dose from 'Something About Andover'

---- — Barbara McGuire, who teaches at the Center at Punchard, highlights the importance of strength training as one ages in this month’s installment of “There’s Something About Andover” airing on local access television.

The second segment of the August program explores options for elders who wish to keep their homed as they get older.

In September, the program takes viewers to France with a report by Evelyn Retell.

Then, Pat Dumont, another teacher at the Center at Punchard, gives an overview of yoga and ways to adapt poses to any limitations that individuals may experience.

“There’s Something About Andover” airs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. and Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m. on Comcast Channel 8 and Verizon Channel 47.

The show is produced by the Andover Chroniclers, an all-volunteer group of seniors from the Center at Punchard. The group welcomes new members; prior experience is not necessary.
