Bandstand concerts bring free tunes midweek

The Department of Community Services offers free summer concerts offered through the Department of Community Services on Wednesdays in July and August is continuing.

The concerts are offered Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. and residents are invited to stop by with their picnic suppers, chairs or blankets. The band 60's Invasion was scheduled to play music from the 1960s on July 18, after Townsman deadline for this paper.

The concerts are held in the Park at the corner of Bartlet and Chestnut streets, next to Town Offices. The series continues through Aug. 15.

In the event of rain on Wednesday, the concert will be rescheduled. Call the DCS information line for weather updates after 3 p.m.: 978-623-8279.

July 25 - Four Guys in Tuxes (requests)

Aug. 1 - Ben Rudnick & Friends (bluegrass)

Aug. 8 - Fab4Ever (Beatles)

Aug. 15 - Brian Corcoran (acoustic, old standards)
