The body of a 33-year-old Andover man was found by dog-walkers Thursday morning in the Ward Hill Reservation, located off Prospect Road.
Steve O’Connell, a spokesman for the Essex District Attorney’s office, said foul play is not suspected.
The name of the man is being withheld by the Townsman until his family can be notified.
O’Connell said the body was found by a couple walking their dog in the woods at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday.
Police closed Prospect Road at Route 125 shortly after the dog-walkers notified Andover Police. O’Connell said local and state police are investigating the death. Police are not releasing any further information at this time. A helicopter hovered as police descended on the scene, O'Connell said.
