But what many people may not know is that Winkler felt anything but cool in school as a child, living with undiagnosed dyslexia until he was 31.

Students, elders find play more than 'Fair'

If you thought you saw maids and finely dressed society women in big hats strolling down Stevens Street last week, you weren't seeing things.
The West Middle School cast of "My Fair Lady," the school's spring musical, walked to Atria Marland Place assisted living facility on May 2 after school to perform selections from their show, which opens this weekend.

Boston Horns boost Andover music scholarship

The Old Town Hall will be grooving Friday.
The Boston Horns will bring their signature jazz and funk sound to town to help raise money for a music scholarship.
Tickets for the May 2 event are $10, and all proceeds will help fund the fledgling Andover Band Association scholarship for a graduate who plans to major in music or perform in a college band, choir or other ensemble.

Planting SEEDS at St. Augustine School: Retired scientist teaches kids

Sometimes, it is a great challenge to escape the inevitable addiction of pop culture. It is almost impossible to get that catchy Top 40 hit out of your head, as dumb and annoying as the song may be. You sit at home and watch marathons of those cheesy reality TV shows, fully aware of their staged and ridiculous nature. When browsing for your next read at the bookstore, you're drawn, against your better judgment, to the trashy teen section.
