Community Action Awards support student efforts to engage with communities locally, nationally, and internationally by funding participation in internships that address issues impacting people around the world.
Students independently pursue placements in their chosen field or area of interest and apply for stipends to defray the costs from unpaid internships at community organizations; local, state, or national government agencies; international NGOs; and other media, public policy, educational, and non-profit organizations or projects.
Blaxter is working with the Palestinian Academic Society for the study of International Affairs, where she will utilize her language skills to work on research projects, roundtable conferences, and event planning.
