Sanborn wins education grant from ExxonMobil

Sanborn Elementary School recently received a $500 grant through the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program from VERC Enterprises, a convenience store and Mobil/Gulf gasoline operator with locations throughout Eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Funded by the ExxonMobil Corporation and Global Partners LP, the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program is designed to provide local retailers an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools.

Dave Poler, district manager of VERC Enterprises, presented the check to Sanborn school nurse Lisa Slattery on behalf of the VERC West Andover Mobil, location at 139 River Road.

“We’re proud to participate in such a fine program that recognizes and supports the quality of local schools,” Leo Vercollone, CEO of VERC Enterprises, said in a release.
