Top Secret Science (, a nonprofit organization offered through the Massachusetts Science Center in Woburn that encourages children to explore weird and wacky hands-on science experiments, is offering two weeks of programming this summer in Andover. Participants will enjoy experiments involving motion and flying things, air and water pressure, crazy chemistry, light and sound, electricity, magnets, science magic and more.

The sessions run Aug. 5 through 9 for grades one to five and Aug. 12 through 16 for grades six to eight, with students gathering each day from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Call Andover Community Services at 978-623-8274 for more information.

GLTS Imagination Vacation

Greater Lawrence Technical School’s Imagination Vacation: Career Exploration Summer Program for students entering grades 6 through 8 will be held Monday through Thursday, July 8 through 11 and July 15 through 18 from 8 a.m. to noon at the school at 57 River Road in Andover. Participants will explore such career areas as carpentry, cosmetology, culinary and dental forensics. The program fee is $165 and includes all materials. Registration forms are available at GLTS. Summer classes at Asian Center

The Asian Center of Merrimack Valley, Inc. at 1 Ballard Way, Lawrence, is offering summer evening classes for a six-week period beginning July 8.

Adults may sign up for beginner and lower-level ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). The classes meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and cost $60.

A Young Writers Workshop for students entering grades 6, 7, 8 and 9 will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost is $35.
