Cheshire Academy honors

Timothy LaBrie of Andover received second honors at Cheshire Academy for the first semester of the 2012-2013 academic school year. Second honors students have a grade point average of 3.33 and above.

Belmont Hill School honor roll

The following students achieved academic honors for the second marking period at Belmont Hill School: George Apostle, grade 11, honors, son of Marizela Benavides of Andover and John Apostle of N. Billerica; and Peter O’Connell, grade 8, honors, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen O’Connell of Andover.

Austin Prep student receives recognition for artwork

Austin Preparatory School junior Corey Bedrosian of Andover received an honorable mention in the 2013 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition.

His original drawing, titled “Wishbone Man,” was submitted for consideration by Austin Prep art teacher Massoudeh Edmund.

Bedrisoan’s uncle, Wesley Bedrosian (now a professional illustrator), received Gold Key recognition from the Boston Globe for this same competition in 1984. Corey Bedrosian said his uncle has been a wonderful mentor, helping him to develop his style.
