Four awarded WPC Men's Group scholarships

Joshua Torres graduated from Central Catholic High School and has worked summers at the Boys and Girls Club Beacon facility. He is a member of the Keystone Club and participates in community activities through the club. He volunteers as a basketball coach at St. Patrick’s and has made the honor roll every year. He was selected by the Lawrence Exchange Club for the 2013 Accepting the Challenge of Excellence award given to high school students who work to overcome adversities. He will now compete for the national ACE award. He will attend Merrimack College in North Andover this fall to pursue a degree in criminal justice.

Julio Hernandez graduated from Central Catholic High School and works at Charles River Labs during school breaks. He is a member of the Keystone Club and participated in wrestling, track and volleyball. He was on the honor roll and has excelled at computer science and Web development. He will attend ULowell in the fall to major in computer science.
