On Campus acknowledges successes by Andover residents at colleges and universities. The information is submitted by schools, families and the students themselves. The following items appeared in the Aug. 26, 2010 print edition of the Townsman:
Bowdoin College held its 205th commencement exercises on May 29, 2010.Nandini Vijayakumar of Andover received a bachelor of arts degree, with a major is anthropology and a minor in chemistry.
Joseph Thomas Allard III, of Andover, received a degree in criminal justice from Norwich University during commencement ceremonies.During the event, students and their families and friends had an opportunity to hear inspiring words about the importance of service to others from Edward Rensi, former president and chief executive officer of McDonald's USA and founder of the Ronald McDonald House. Rensi received an honorary doctorate in Business Administration from Norwich during the ceremony.Norwich University is the oldest private military college in the United States and the birthplace of the nation's Reserve Officers Training Corps. The class of 2010 consisted of 210 members of the Corps of Cadets, and 190 civilian students. A total of 105 of the graduates have been or will soon be commissioned into the armed forces.
Bradley M. Day, graduated with a bachelor of arts in physics from Clark University. He is also a graduate of Andover High School.
The following Andover residents recently received degrees from Simmons College:
Jacqueline Mimno, received a bachelor of arts degree from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Kara Nies, a doctorate of physical therapy degree from the Simmons College School of Health Sciences.
Jessica Amato,received a master of arts in teaching degree from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Gary Nicholson, received a master of science in education degree from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Simmons College is a nationally recognized private university located in the heart of Boston. It offers an undergraduate education for women, and renowned coeducational graduate programs in health sciences, education, liberal arts, social work, library and information science, and communications management, as well as the nation's first MBA program designed specifically for women.

Cadet 1st Class Michael Kenny, graduated with a bachelor of science in facilities engineering.

Cadet 1st Class Ryan Noonan, graduated with a bachelor of science in marine engineering.
Lesley University's held its centennial commencement on May 19 with Andover students receiving degrees.
Deana Bardetti-Taxiarhos, earned a doctor of philosophy degree in education from School of Education.
Paul Pascucci, earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in illustration from The Art Institute of Boston.
Michael Kasianchuk, earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in photography from The Art Institute of Boston.
Tara Brink, earned a master of education degree in teacher education from School of Education.
Rebecca Miller, earned a master of education degree in teacher education from School of Education.
Anne Ogden, earned a master of education degree in teacher education from School of Education.
Annette Owen, earned a master of education degree in teacher education from the School of Education
Barbara Colangeli, earned a bachelor of science degree, an individually designed degree.
Kelsey Shaw, of Andover earned a bachelor's degree from Sarah Lawrence College. Shaw's parents are Fred Shaw and Eileen Jones-Shaw and is a 2006 graduate of Andover High School.
Gabi Barmettler, graduated from Amherst College in Amherst, Mass. on May 23. She majored in art and the history of art and biology. She is the daughter of Peter Barmettler and Sabine Y. Barmettler of Andover.
