College financial aid workshop April 17
The Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority is holding a seminar to help high school seniors and their parents decide which college acceptance offer to select based on the financials on Thursday, April 17, at 7 p.m. at Phillips Academy on El Street in Andover.
As part of its “After the Acceptance” program, the state’s nonprofit authority on planning, saving and paying for college is assembling college financing experts to lead the free seminar.
The goal of the program, which runs through the end of April, is to ensure families have timely guidance before making enrollment decisions by the May 1 deadline, and have a clear understanding of the next steps in the college enrollment process. MEFA is poised to help families in a variety of ways: Call MEFA at 800-449-MEFA (6332) to speak to a college financing expert.
