Phillips Academy holding summer interviews

Phillips Academy will conduct interviews through Aug. 30 for local students planning to apply for admission into its 2014-2015 entering class.

In response to a significant increase in applications over the past four years, Phillips’ Office of Admission strongly advises local residents to tour campus and interview with an admission counselor before the end of summer. Each applicant to Phillips Academy is required to have a personal interview as part of the admission process.

Interviews will be conducted for those applying into the ninth grade and anyone seeking to transfer in as an upperclassman as well as rising high school seniors interested in applying as post-graduates. Andover and North Andover residents must apply to PA as day students.

PA will host two open houses for local families on Oct. 6 and Jan. 11 so interested applicants can visit campus again while school is in session.

To schedule an interview and tour, call the Office of Admission at 978-749-4050. For more information about the admission process, contact Vivien Mallick, senior associate dean of admission, at 978-749-4062 or
