2013 Graduates

Katie von Braun of Andover, a 2009 graduate of Phillips Academy, has graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor with a bachelor of music degree in violin performance with honors with a minor in anthropology. She will be starting graduate studies in the fall at San Francisco Conservatory of Music to pursue a master of music in violin performance. She is the daughter of Christine von Braun and Curt von Braun of Andover.

Kristina Cappello graduated cum laude from the University of Tampa with a bachelor of arts in sociology and minor in psychology. Cappello is a 2009 graduate of Andover High School and the daughter of Doug and Gina Cappello. She was named to the dean’s list in fall 2012 and spring 2013; and was honored as the outstanding sociology major for 2012-13.

Cappello was also a member of Alpha Kappa Delta, an international sociology honor society; Psi Chi, an international honor society in psychology; Phi Eta Sigma, a freshman honor society; the National Society of Leadership and Success, and the Dean’s Student Advisory Council.

Caroline Lyle was awarded a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in women’s studies from Boston College. She graduated cum laude from the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. She is a 2009 graduate of Andover High School and the daughter of Henry and Barbara Lyle.

Richard F. Crispo graduated from Oregon State University with a master of science in electrical and computer engineering.

Olivia Deary Evans and Christopher Ryan Lippi received their bachelor of science degrees and Corey Wayne Frerichs was awarded a bachelor of arts degree from Endicott College in Beverly.

Five local students received their undergraduate degrees from Salem State University. They are: Victoria Kellman, Diane Ladd, Janet Muasya, Daniel O’Rourke and Tristian Shannon.

There were also five locals awarded graduate degrees from Salem State. They are: Andrew Bellistri, Caren Brown, Jennifer Darfoor, Hope Flynn and Mairen Marshall.
