Thirty town of Andover employees made more than Town Manager BuzzStapczynski (pictured), and 117 took home more than $100,000 in paylast year, according to information acquired from the town accountant'soffice. With a new fiscal year dawning July 1, town leaders still arenegotiating with Andover workers' unions for concessions, and have beenput on notice by state legislators that next year's budget cuts will besignificantly greater than those made this year.
The breakdown of Andover employees who took home $100,000 or more in calendar year 2008:
49 from fire department
33 from police department
22 from school department
13 from other departments

The top earner was a police sergeant who made $199,359.59. This total included more than $94,000 in regular pay, $67,000 in overtime.
