Skies of milk

There were no tears shed over spilled milk at the Addison Gallery of American Art at Phillips Academy last week.

Addison hosted a February school vacation week story hour last Friday featuring Charles Green Shaw’s tale, “It Looked Like Spilt Milk,” about a cloud that transforms into different shapes.

After hearing the story, the youngsters explored the gallery exhibition, “Natural Selections,” paying close attention to the shapes and colors that artists used to represent the sky.

Then, the children created their own sky scenes with art materials in the Museum Learning Center.
