Applications are being accepted for Andover’s annual Crafts in the Park, which will be held on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine, in The Park at Chestnut and Bartlet streets.
Crafts in the Park is a fundraiser sponsored by Christ Church Andover. Proceeds from the event are used to support the church’s mission and outreach programs and groups in the local community, including Habitat for Humanity, Esperanza Academy, Bread and Roses, Neighbors in Need, Lazarus House and the Merrimack Valley Project. The church also operates The Christ Church Children’s Center preschool program and the Andover Thrift Shop and presents a diverse music program for the community.
Amateur and professional craftspeople are invited to display and sell their original work in the juried event. Applications should be submitted immediately with photos of one’s work or a website where they may be viewed. Chosen participants will be notified by Feb. 28.
The $100 booth fee, completed application form and a No. 10 self-addressed stamped envelope should be mailed to Andover Crafts in The Park, P.O. Box 685, Andover 01810. Checks will be returned if the crafter is not chosen for inclusion in the show. If photos are to be returned, include an envelope with adequate postage.
No sales commissions are charged beyond the booth fee. Food vendors require additional permits from the Town of Andover.
