Cornerstone Financial Resources, an 18-year-old Westford company, has opened a second office, at 10 High St. in downtown Andover.
It says its primary focus is on retirement planning and assisting "clients to retire safely, insuring that they are able to maintain their current standard of living during retirement without running out of money."
"With the financial debacle of the past three years it has been very clear that people are feeling insecure. I've been working in this field most of my life and we here at Cornerstone are thrilled to say that we have never lost one cent of our clients' money. They entrust us to preserve and grow their money and we work hard every day to exceed their expectations in every way we can," Alaa Elkordy, head of Cornerstone, said in a release.
Cornerstone also works in the area of financial aid planning for college, working with families to maximize endowment and gift aid for their college-bound students. It offers a complementary consultation for families to help them plan and then implement a doable strategy for lowering their out of pocket costs for college.
"College planning is not just saving for college but saving on the cost of college. Regardless of family income, students could be eligible to receive gift aid for their college education. The response to our ability to help families prepare for college has been gratifying," said Elkordy.
