---- — Members of the board of directors of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs, Northeast Region, will be guest speakers at a breakfast on Sunday, March 30, at Congregation Beth Israel, 501 South Main St. (Route 28), Andover. Founded in 1929, the federation has more than 20,000 members providing benefits to synagogues across North America and around the world.
Men and women in the community are invited to participate in the morning’s activities, which will begin with services at 9:30, followed by breakfast and the program at 10:30. There is no charge for the breakfast; however, reservations are requested.
The community is invited to a spirited and uplifting “Shabbat Chai at CBI” service on Friday, April 4, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Congregation Beth Israel. The family-friendly service will feature music to accompany congregational singing. A buffet dinner will follow. Admission for the dinner is $10, with a maximum charge of $25 per family; children 12 and under are free. Reservations are requested by Tuesday, April 1.
Author and Brandeis alumnus David Ostrowsky will be the guest speaker on Sunday, April 13, at Congregation Beth Israel. Ostrowsky will be discussing and signing copies of his latest book, “Game Over or Game On?: How Pro Athletes Leave Sports and Enjoy the Game of Life.”
