Sue Kiley and Ellen McGlynn will be running the Boston Marathon (again) and chose to run for JDRF, because their neighbor’s son Gavin was diagnosed almost three years ago. These two women and Gavin’s mom, Mimi LeBrun, are hosting the fundraiser.
The store is providing a 20-percent discount, and 10 percent of proceeds with go to JDRF, according to LeBrun.
“I’ve contacted other Diabetes moms in Andover and we have put together a slideshow/videos of our children living with Type 1 Diabetes. This is exciting for us to be able to get the word out and build community awareness,” reported LeBrun. “Many local businesses have donated raffle items, food, flowers, etc.”
