"Since 1999, I have received several dozen awards, and each one is important to me. I believe that in many ways the recognition that elected officials receive reflects their values and who they stand up for," said Tucker.

* Pioneer Institute’s Better Government Award for attacking auto insurance fraud in Massachusetts. 2008
* Homes for Families Inspiring Leadership Award for leadership in the fight to end homelessness. 2008.
* The Children’s Trust Fund, Valuing Our Children Award, for the fight against child abuse in Massachusetts. 2007
* The Andover Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award for individuals who have made significant contributions to the betterment of life in Andover. 2006
* The Executive Office of Elder Affairs Eva B. Hester Award for legislators who most effectively demonstrate legislative vision and leadership on behalf of Massachusetts elders. 2002
* Mary Immaculate St. Marguerite D’Youville Pilgrimage of Love Award to recognize dedicated individuals who have made substantial contributions to the care of our elders. 2006
* The Jewish Community Relations Council’s Legislative Achievement Award. 2004
* The Alliance for a Healthy Tomorrow Environmental Health Award for leadership in sponsoring and passing the Mercury Reduction Act.
