The Andover Townsman

---- — Stock up on great books, movies and music for all ages at the Friends of Memorial Hall Library’s Fall Book Sale this weekend at the library at 2 North Main St.

The sale was set to kick off with a Preview Night on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., before it opened to the public.

General sale hours are Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 and 28, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 29, from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Proceeds from the sale will support special programs, materials and equipment to enrich the library’s services to the public.

The Friends of Memorial Hall Library will be celebrating National

Friends of Libraries Week Oct. 20 through 26 by encouraging every library user to join the group.

During that week, visit the library to meet current board members, learn more about the Friends, and enjoy refreshments and other goodies.

The Friends of MHL are library patrons, supporters and volunteers. Through membership dues, book sales and occasional fundraisers, the group raises money to improve and enhance the library experience for the community by providing programs and services not funded in the town’s budget.

Anyone who joins or renews their Friends membership by Oct. 31 will be entered into a drawing for a Kindle. Visit www.mhl.org/friends to learn more.
