The event seeks to help participants connect with agencies and institutions that can offer support and access to education and training programs and resources that exist in Essex County.
Red Cross blood drives in October
The American Red Cross will hold several community blood drives during the month of October, including two in Andover.
All eligible and new blood donors are encouraged to give blood. Blood donors are needed everyday to ensure an adequate blood supply for
patients in need.
The Andover drives are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 26 from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Boston Sports Club, 307 Lowell St.; and for Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at CBRE Richard Ellis, 1 Tech Drive.

Essex Heritage fall meeting
Essex Heritage will hold its annual fall meeting and networking event on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Smith Barn at Brooksby Farm, 38 Felton St., Peabody.
The agenda will include updates on Essex Heritage activities and initiatives, introduction to new commissioners and the presentation of Essex Heritage’s Pioneers in Partnership Awards, designed to recognize individuals and/or organizations that exemplify the Essex National Heritage Commission’s spirit of collaboration through their initiatives in building partnerships that preserve and celebrate the historic, cultural and natural resources of Essex County.

Free booklets available from VNA Care Network & Hospice
“Choosing Hospice,” a guide to specialized care for the terminally ill, is available for free from VNA Care Network & Hospice, a nonprofit agency that provides physical, emotional, practical and spiritual support to terminally ill patients and their families in Andover and surrounding communities.
