Learn how to make your home attractive to buyers

Saying its first staging event drew a crowd despite the approach of a blizzard, Lillian Montalto Signature Properties plans to host a second such learn-to-stage event on March 7.

The event, billed as one that will teach people “tricks of the trade” about making a house attractive to buyers, will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the office of Lillian Montalto Signature Properties, 34 Park St., Suite One in Andover.

On the eve of the big blizzard of 2013, the Andover company hosted its first free seminar on staging, which attracted both locals and people from as far away as New Hampshire, according to the company.

During the 90-minute seminar, Montalto and her professional stager, Sandra Sullivan, provided people with information on how to prepare their home to look its best for prospective buyers.

“Even with the impeding storm just hours away, the event was a great success,” said a release. “After the presentation, the room was abuzz with questions, which could have continued all night.

One lucky attendee won a free, two-hour professional staging consultation at their home with Sandi.”

To reserve a space at the March 7 event, register by emailing Lillian directly at Lillian@andoverhomes.com or through her Facebook page located at Facebook.com/LillianMontaltoSignatureProperties. Space is limited to the first 25 people.

Participants are asked to send a photograph of a challenged room to Lillian@andoverhomes.com, which will enter them into a drawing.

One lucky winner will win a “two hour staging makeover consultation.” This consultation will be scheduled after the event and will take place at the winner’s home on a mutually agreed upon date.
