For the past year neighbors of High Plain Road have seen their road turned into a “dumping area” for used condoms, beer cans, liquor bottles, cigarette packages, coffee cups, fast food packaging, glass and plastic soda containers. All these items are found along the road, all these items are deposited daily.
April is the month that we celebrate Earth Day and National Public Health week. It would seem that during this month, it would be a great opportunity to educate the populace as to the harm to the environment and public health that indiscriminate discarding of these items can cause.
I think Andover can do better in the education of its residents as to the disposal of such trash.
