Regional YMCA to be recognized

The Merrimack Valley YMCA will be recognized with the Service Club of Andover’s Make a Difference Award on Saturday, April 27, at Andover Country Club.

The purpose of the club’s annual Charity Gala and Auction is to raise awareness and money to support youth and adults with developmental disabilities. The Make a Difference Award is presented to an individual or group that has made a major impact in the areas of the club’s mission.

The evening will include an additional special opportunity to raise funds for YMCA camperships. WBZ-TV sports anchor and celebrity Dan Roche will serve as master of ceremonies. For ticket information, visit serviceclubofandover.org

Bloom named partner in firm

Joshua Bloom has been made a partner in the international consulting firm of Simon-Kucher and Partners. The firm specializes in consulting on strategy, marketing, pricing and sales.

Bloom. who works in the company’s Mountain View, Calif., office, is a graduate of Yale University and has a master of business administration degree from Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. The son of Dr. and Mrs. Steven Bloom of Andover, he lives in San Francisco with his wife, Manique, and daughter, Lyra.

Quinlan certified as insurance specialist

Peter F. s of Fred C. Church Insurance in Lowell has been certified as a construction risk and insurance specialist. The designation recognizes specialized expertise in construction insurance and establishes one’s commitment to the construction industry through an ongoing continuing education component.

The Andover resident has been with Fred C. Church for 22 years and is a senior vice president with the agency. He works in the agency’s Andover office.
