“Shoe Bomber” prosecutor Gerry Leone will share his experiences as Middlesex County district attorney during The Harvard Club of Andover’s annual dinner meeting on Wednesday, May 8, at Palmers Restaurant in Andover.
The meeting is a Harvard community event and guests will include local students entering the Harvard class of 2017.
Leone, who was elected Middlesex County’s district attorney in 2006, has dedicated his career to speaking for those with no voice, seeking justice for the victims of crimes and protecting Massachusetts families through prevention programs in schools and communities. He is widely known for his successful prosecution of the “Shoe Bomber.”
The Harvard Club of Andover welcomes alumni, students, faculty and employees and their families from all Harvard-affiliated schools. The nonprofit club represents 16 communities surrounding Andover and Lowell and hosts cultural and educational events for its members and actively supports the university community at large.
Its activities include interviewing local prospective students for university admission and providing scholarships for local Harvard students. The club also supports academic excellence through recognition of local high school students with the Harvard Book Prize award and supports a variety of charitable activities in the community.
