:OCCUPATION TRANSFORMATION — RE-IMAGINING PROFESSIONAL LIFE AFTER 50: Thursday, April 25, 7 p.m.; $3. Valley Works Career Center will explain how state and federally sponsored career resource can help people obtain employment by learning the skills they need and keeping informed about local job opportunities.
SPRING FLING DANCE AT THE TOWNHOUSE: Sunday, April 28. 20 Main St., 6 to 11 p.m.; $10 advance; $15 singles, $25 couples at the door. Dance instruction by Dance New England and music provided by DB’s Orchestra; complimentary light refreshments and a cash bar. Tickets in advance available at The Center at Punchard; space is limited.
`OUR BODIES, OURSELVES:’ Friday, May 10, 1:30 p.m.; $8. Joan Ditzion, co-author of the iconic book series from the Women’s Health Collective, will educate, amuse and amaze her audience with the changes in women’s rights in the past 50 years and how these ground-breaking publications have formed the way women view their health and sexuality.
AUTHOR TALK: Monday, May 13, 1:30 p.m.; $3. Andover resident Mary McGarry Morris leads a book discussion of her recent work, “Light from a Distant Star.” Read the book in advance to join more fully in the discussion. Books available at Memorial Hall Library by advance reservation.
ADDISON GALLERY OF AMERICAN ART: Thursdays, May 2, 9 and 16, 10 a.m.; $9. Private tours of current exhibits and talk by museum director; space limited to 20 people.
