The newest in a number of proposals to keep the Shawsheen Extended Day program going is a warrant article that would appropriate town funds to buy portable classrooms. These classrooms would be located at the Shawsheen site and be hooked into the building’s utilities.
Neighborhood residents and Phillips Academy officials ran into conflict over parking and traffic issues at a Planning Board hearing on the school’s plans to renovate the old Abbott Academy campus.
As expected, the proposed town budget released Friday by Town Manager Kenneth Mahoney reflected a modest 5.4 percent increase.
