The Andover Townsman
---- — The Marching of the Brides Designer Wedding Gown Sale to benefit Brides Across America and Patriot Rovers makes its first trip down the aisle on Wednesday, June 26, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Andover Country Club.
The one-day-only event will feature a variety of designer wedding gowns from Reem Acra, Vera Wang, Nicole Miller, Maggie Sottero, Amsale, Lazaro, Jim Hjelm and more. Dresses will range in price from $199 to $799 and will be available in sizes 0 to 20.
All gown sales at the event will benefit Brides Across America’s efforts to continue providing dresses for military brides at its nationwide wedding gown giveaways held in various cities throughout the year.
Brides Across America is built on the reality that many military brides find it difficult to plan their dream weddings due to deployment, injury or economic circumstances. The organization founded by Heidi Janson brings bridal and military together by providing free wedding gowns to military brides as a way of both honoring and thanking the troops and their loved ones for their service.
“My goal is to make sure we don’t forget all the servicemen and women overseas fighting for our freedom. It is imperative at this point for Brides Across America to continue its growth and to make a bigger difference by gaining more support from bridal salons and designers,” Janson said in a release.
Admission to the Marching of the Brides Designer Wedding Gown Sale is $10. Shoppers can register online at http://bit.ly/BAABRIDES or purchase tickets at the door. All ticket proceeds will benefit Patriot Rovers, a nonprofit organization that provides professionally trained therapeutic psychiatric service dogs to veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder or traumatic brain injury.
