SENIOR BULLYING: Thursday, June 13, 11 a.m., discussion on the characteristics of social bullying among older adults, what it is and some strategies to defeat it.
BOOK CLUB: BoomerVenture joins Memorial Hall Library for a series of Boomer Bee events starting June 13 with a book club, featuring “The Elegance of the Hedgehog,” 7 p.m. Programs run through Aug. 15; call for complete listings.
HEART HEALTH: Friday, June 14, 10 a.m., topics include the broken heart syndrome, differences between men’s and women’s heart attack symptoms as well as changing trends and medical advice.
LOBSTER ROLL LUNCH: Monday, June 17, 1 p.m.; $10, includes drink, cole slaw, watermelon and chips; pre-sales required.
BOSTON TO SALEM FERRY TRIP: Tuesday, June 18, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., this busy day includes a narrated ferry trip, Salem Maritime National Historic Site tour, lunch at Red’s in Salem and a quick stop at Quincy Market; $51.
HIGH TEA AND HISTORY: Andover Agriculture, Wednesday, June 19, 2 p.m., Barbara Bunn, a farmer’s granddaughter, talks about growing up on a local farm; free.
LEGAL CHECKUP: Friday, June 21, 9:30 a.m., “Taking Control of Your Future: A Legal Checkup,” presented by Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, based on a comprehensive resource guide to all aspects of elder law; free, workbook will be provided.
STAINED GLASS ART: Monday, June 24, 1:30 p.m., Carolyn Giddinge of Amesbury, stained glass artist and owner of Cat’s Eye Glass Creations, will lecture on the history of “The Tiffany Glass of West Parish Chapel” and the artist who created them. Built in 1901, the chapel boasts 14 original Louis Tiffany stained glass windows. They are considered the crown jewel of the chapel, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Program meets at West Parish Cemetery, 129 Reservation Road. Registration required, $5 fee.
