The Town Offices on Bartlet Street were evacuated Wednesday afternoon as heavy storms moved through the area.
A fire was called in on the third floor of the building during the second of a series of quick, dangerous storms rattled the Merrimack Valley, according to police scanner radio chatter during the storm.
As crews arrived, it was determined there was no fire showing as town employees gathered outside a first-floor entrance to the building, according to radio chatter.
The scene was cleared around 10 minutes after the incident was first called in, and employees were then allowed to return to the building as crews continued to investigate a suspected electrical issue in the building, according to radio chatter.
