Andover and other area photographers are invited to submit images that capture the essence of the Essex National Heritage Area to the Essex Heritage’s 2012 Photo Contest.
All submissions are due by Oct. 1.
Any photograph captured between Oct. 1, 2011 and Oct. 1, 2012 and assigned to one of three contest categories is eligible to win. The 2012 Photo Contest categories are: “Images of the ENHA,” “The Merrimack Valley” and “In Town/Downtown.”
Sponsored by the Essex National Heritage Commission and Hunt’s Photo & Video, the 2012 Essex Heritage Photo Contest will award 10 prizes to 10 individual photographers - one Grand Prize winner followed by a first, second, and third prize winner in each of the three contest categories.
There will also be up to three “Youth Entry” prizes awarded in any contest category for kids ages 5 through 17.
Award-winning photographs are exhibited for one year at the National Park Service Regional Visitor Center, 2 New Liberty St., Salem and at the office of the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission, 160 Main St., Haverhill, for one year.
