The Andover Chamber Music Series and its ensemble-in-residence, Mistral, will usher in the holidays with The Baroque Big Band, with performances of four concertos on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. at South Church, on Central Street.

Soloists include artistic director and flutist Julie Scolnik, violinists Irina Muresanu and Juliette Kang (associate concert master, Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra), cellist Thomas Kraines, Boston Symphony Orchestra English horn soloist Robert Sheena, and harpsichordist Ian Watson, former member of the Academy of St. Martins in the Field, whose playing appears in numerous music films, including "Amadeus."

The concert will also be performed on Friday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the Pawtucket Congregational Church in Lowell.

Tickets for the Andover concert are $30. Tickets for the Lowell concert are $15. Student tickets are $8. Group sales discount and WGBH discount are available.
