Andover, MA. — Edith L. Sanborn, 93, of Andover, Mass., passed away on Monday, November 18, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Robert E. Sanborn. They would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in December.
Born on September 3, 1920, in Stamford, Conn., to Hilda and Hilmer Larson, Edith lived an incredibly full 93 years.
Edith is survived by her husband, Robert; sons, Peter and daughter-in-law, Susan Kirk Sanborn of North Kingstown, R.I., and Everett and daughter-in-law, Lorna Nartia Sanborn of Andover; grandsons, Benjamin and Joshua Sanborn of North Kingstown, and Caleb Sanborn of Andover; granddaughters, Alison Bitzer of Somerville, Mass., Carly Bitzer of Barkhamstead, Conn., and Holly Larsen of Benton, Maine; and great-grandchildren, Timothy and Emma Larsen also of Benton. Edith was predeceased by her twin brother, Everett; daughters, Rena Sanborn Bitzer and Alison Ann Sanborn; and a stillborn son, John Sanborn.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service honoring Edith’s life will be held on Saturday, December 14, at 11 a.m., at the Trinity Evangelical Church, 105 Haverhill Street, North Reading.
