John F. Craig, 67


Somersworth, NH & Andover, MA — John “Jack” Craig, 67 of Somersworth died Sunday December 30, 2012 at the Hyder Family Hospice House.

He was born September 19, 1945 in Lawrence, MA the son of John F. and Margaret (Bruce) Craig, graduated from Andover High School, Class of 1963 and went on to graduate from North East Broadcasting School in Boston.

Jack was a radio announcer in Berlin and Concord for several years and later worked for IBM as a customer service specialist for 23 years and transferred to Eastman Kodak where he worked for several years.

He was an avid golfer, playing bingo, bango, bongo with The Buzzer, Louie and Bob at the Oaks.

He was a kind, wonderful gentleman with an impeccable Scottish whit.

Members of his family include his wife of 30 years, Louise (Benaris) Craig of Somersworth; his daughter, Wendy Ward and her husband, Daniel and their son, Samuel all of Bridgewater; his son, Dale Craig and his wife, Trisha of Stratham; two sisters, Margaret Morris of Utica, New York and Lois Wiens and her husband, Stan of Venice, Florida; and several nieces and nephews including Glen and Ann Borek of Utica, New York, Karen and Lyall Smith of Venice, Florida, Laurie and Gary Albanese of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Kimberly and Daryll Bear of Venice, Florida and extended family, Andrew Benaris of Dover, Joanne McMahon of Tewksbury, MA, Ann Madore of Freeport, Maine, Athena and Jim Perry of Milton, Markus and Shauna McMahon of Nashua, Robin and Bill Penrod of Falmouth, Maine, Richard Gonye of North Yarmouth, Maine, Ronald and Kelly Grant of Freeport, Maine, Sean and Erica McMahon of Methuen, MA

He was predeceased by two grandchildren, Christopher and Noelle Ward, his brother, George Bruce Craig and his step-son, Jason Senf.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave, Dover, NH. Burial will be private in Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover, MA.
