Andover, MA — Shirley A. Whyte passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton MA with her family at her side.
She was born on October 21, 1929 in Northampton. She was the daughter of the last Arthur and Margaret (Bombard) Seney.
She was educated in Northampton schools and was a 1947 graduate of Northampton High School. She lived in Newburyport and Cape Cod and later lived in Andover for over 30 years. She moved back to Northamptoin in 2007.
She enjoyed reading, painting, illustrating and spending time with her family. Her husband, James Whyte, passed away in 2002.
She is survived by her daughter Heather Whyte-Kattas and her husband Paul of Basking Ridge NJ; her brothers William Seney of Leeds and Richard Seney of Milwaukee; her sister June Savino of Florence; her two granddaughters Alexandra and Victoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A wake and funeral were held on January 8th at Ahearn Funeral Home in Northampton MA. A graveside service was held on January 9th at Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
