Stockton, Calif. — Franklin Gifford Pelletier passed away unexpectedly in Stockton, Calif. on January 24, 2013. Frank grew up in Andover, attending Andover public schools through the 9th grade. He graduated from Phillips Andover Academy in 1980 and earned his BA in Sociology from Boston University in 1984.
At the time of his death, Frank was employed as Director Of Aerospace Products for Jorgensen Forge Company of Seattle, Wash. (500 employees). His office was in Stockton, Calif. and in his work assignments, he frequently travelled throughout the West Coast, Texas and Louisiana.
Frank was a dedicated athlete, starring in team sports in junior high school and earning varsity letters in Baseball (3) and in Football (2) while at Phillips. He had remained an avid Boston sports fan even after moving to California in 1991 and played softball for many years with various company-sponsored teams.
Frank’s keen intelligence and quick wit were recognized and admired by all persons with whom he came in contact, including family members and friends, as well as his business contacts and associates.
He leaves his loving and adoring wife of 20 plus years, Jodie (Steere) Pelletier (via Greene Iowa). Jodie is a graduate of Drake University in Iowa, with a degree in journalism. They had been deeply involved in their community, rescuing abused and feral cats for treatment and adoption.
He will be sorely missed by his parents, Virginia (Gifford) and Alfred Pelletier of Andover, and by his three surviving siblings and their spouses, Stephen Pelletier of San Francisco, Karen Pelletier of Wyoming, and Jonathan Pelletier of Andover. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews living in Andover, Iowa, California, Washington D.C., and Mongolia.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral arrangements for his cremation will be in Stockton, Calif. and will be private. Please omit flowers, but contributions in his memory can be made to the Stockton, Calif. Animal Rescue League.
